From Marshfield (Wisconsin) News dated Thursday, November 12, 1914

Hewitt – Mrs. Albert Duchow died Saturday, November 7th, at 9:30 a. m. The cause of death being cerehal (sic) hemorrhage. She suffered a stroke of paralysis six years ago and had been in ill health ever since, but was up and around until three months ago when she was confined to her bed. She was born in Wisconsin on May 26, 1869, and was 45 years, 5 months and 12 days old. She leaves to mourn her death her husband and four children. The funeral was held Tuesday, November 10th, at 2 p. m. from Immanuel’s Lutheran church, Rev. August Ristow of Auburndale officiating.

Death Relieves Her of Her Suffering
Mrs. Albert Duchow died November 7, death being due to paralysis. She had been in poor health the last six years.
The deceased was born in the town of Rantoul, Calumet county, on May 26, 1869, and lived there until 1891, when she and her husband came to Hewitt, near where they settled on a piece of land which they cleared and improved until today it is one of the best developed farms in that neighborhood. They married a short time before coming to Hewitt. She was a member of the Lutheran church and was a devout Christian woman. The Golden Rule was her motto and served as her guide in all her works and dealings.
She leaves to mourn her loss her widower and the following children:
Adolph and George Duchow of Potter, Mrs. Andrew Wunrow of the town of Richfield, and John and Carolina at home, also seven sisters and two brothers.
The pallbearers were: Gust Wunrow, Ed Degner, Fred Schultz, Herman Federwitz, Charles Boehning, Will Dekarske. She was buried on November 10, Rev. A. Ristow officiating. Interment was made at the Lutheran cemetery.
The following from out of town were present: Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold Zahn of Green Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Will Zahn and Mrs. John Greise of Eldorada, Mrs. Will Post of Fond du Lac, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Stepftem of Plymouth, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Duchow, George Duchow, and Mr. and Mrs. Will Duchow of Potter, and Mr. and Mrs. John Durban of Marytown.
