Marlene J. Mizikowski
A Wonderful Grandma Marlene J. Bonanti Mizikowski, 72, passed away Wednesday morning, December 21, 2011 at her residence in Erie.
She was born in Erie,CO,PA, July 25, 1939,
daughter of the late Amerigo and Julia Duda Bonanti. She is survived by her children, Christopher Mizikowski and his fiance, Sandy, of Harborcreek, James E. Mizikowski and his wife, Lisa, of Millcreek, Kathryn G. Emhoff, and husband, Mark, of Erie, and Juliann "Julie" Scheppner and her husband, John, of Erie. She was also survived by her six grandchildren, Stephen, Mark, Hannah, Michael,Emily and Matthew. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin A. Mizikowski. Marlene was member of St. Stanislaus R.C. Church where she served as an Eucharistic Minister. She worked as a legal secretary for the Knox, McLaughlin, Gornall and Sennett Law firm, retiring after over 35 years service. One of her great passions was music and she served as a volunteer usher for the Erie Philharmonic Orchestra. Marlene enjoyed the outdoors, reading, traveling and was an animal lover. She also was an avid card player enjoying her monthly card club and its members. She will always be remembered as a true kindhearted and selfless person. Friends may call at the Mark G. Razanauskas Funeral Home, 701 East Ave., Erie Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday from noon until the time of a prayer service at 1 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Stanislaus Church at 1:30 p.m. Interment Gate of heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Stanislaus Church, 516 E. 13th St., Erie, PA 16503, or the A.N.N.A. Shelter, 1555 E. 10th St., Erie, PA 16511.
