Hello Julie..Haven't been on here since I last talked with you..Are you still on here? It has been years since I have worked on the Duddings..
James Benton Dudding of Winfield, Putnam Co., was my grt grandfather..
wonder if anyone has found any new info on our ancestors William (1784) and Nancy (Blake) Dudding..I have Blake info but at a standstill on Duddings ..I do know they came from Botetourte Co, Va

sorry it's taken me 9 yrs. to reply! My mother was Dorothy dudding daughter of Earl Ellicott Dudding of Huntington, WV
He passed in 1974 at the age of 103.

sorry i haven't checked this site in 9 years! Earl traced the family all the way back to England this I know. He is living in Utah almost 90 yrs. old and I will try to find out more info if I can speak to him. Kathryn Carr

I believe your grandfather was my grandfathers brother. His name was Earl Ellicot Dudding. How bizarre is this?

does anyone know anything about Sergeant H D Dudding Killed in action in WW1 3rd September 1916 buried in Lonsdale Cemetary at Theipval he was in Rifle Brigade 16th Battalion The Prince Consorts Own he was born about 1890 Gillingham Kent and lived for a while at St Pancras {then Middlesex now London}

Hi, my name is Bill Dudding, and I am a 2nd cousin 2 times removed to James A. Dudding. Another person who may have more info is also a Bill Dudding in Butte Montana. His E- Mail is trucker@rfwave.net. Let me tell you what I have:I have him born 1862 in Bedford, Virginia, married Harriett Minerva Falls, who was born 1865, from Botetourt County, (West) Virginia, on 25 May, 1887, in Botetourt County, WV, He had abt. 10 children, Homer R, b. 1890, Florine B., b. 1892, who married a Luther Hincher in 1925, probably in Roanoke, Virginia, Alon V., (female), b. 1894, Ortie K., b. 1896,of Cave Spring District, Roanoke, Virginia, who married an Olivia C._____, in 1922, in Tampa Florida, They had 2 children I found in censuses- Ortie K. Junior, 6 Dec., 1922, and Colleen Olivia, 16 Aug. 1924, both of them born in Virginia, Pluma Luck, 4 Dec. 1896- I don't know if she and Ortie are twins but it's possible, Mirta S., b.1900, who married a John Sink in 1920, likely in Roanoke, Va., John O., b. 1903, who married a Virginia _____, no date or place, Zelea Marie, b. 1904, Dallas Mabel, born within 1 month of 18 May, 1908, and finally Everett Dudding,(actually a grandson), b. 1915, who was listed as adopted. There is an Everett Dudding, likely him, buried in a VA Cemetery, with birth date of 1 Oct. 1914, and death date 23 Apr., 1967. All apparently were born in Virginia, according to all the census records. Hope this helps.

I know its a while since you put post on ancestry about your grandmother Ethel Maud Dudding but i have only just got involved with Ancestry i think your grandmother is connected to my tree through David Dudding c1815 and Ann Copping 1820 both born Bearstead nr Maidstone Kent
my Ethel Dudding was born Rainham Which was Milton district c1893my Ethel also had brothers Sydney Herbert and Frederick among other siblings
my grandmother was Maud Dudding c1892 on my mothers side if interested you can contact me direct leesmitha@yahoo.co.uk
then i can give you an invite to see my tree which is still under construction but has these Duddings on it i am working backwards at moment

Hi. Does anyone know the parents of James A. Dudding? He was born abt 1864, probably in VA. He died on 31 Jan 1936. He married Harriet Minerva Falls. She was born in 1868 and died in 1941. They had a son named Ortie Kyle Dudding. He was born abt 1895 in Virginia, USA. He died in 1951 in Miami, Dade, FL, USA. Ortie Kyle was my maternal great-grandfather. i'm just starting down the family history road, but my grandmother on my dads side is a duding from kent.
my grandmothers name was ethel muad dudding and was born at Milton.(8) her mother's name was sarah dudding(age 53 1901 cen.) ethel also had e brothers fredarick (25), herbert(23), Sydney(5). on the 1901 census it states that sarah dudding was a widow. ethel went on to marry my grandad George Smithfield Austin. they then lived for a time at holywell in flintshire(wales) where my father was born. they then moved to ferrybridge in yorkshire.my granddad died in 1959 and ethel died in 1985

I am searching for Charlotte Eliz Alkin's(born 13 Jan 1804 in England)parents. Family centered around Mancetter, Atherstone. Charlotte married 16 Dec 1834 to William Henry Freer. Would appreciate any information concerning the Alkins.
