I am searching for information regarding my g-grandfather, Walter Dudzik. Supposedly he was born in Superior, Wisconsin to Joseph Dudzik and Catherine Urbankiak on 4 Aug 1904. However, I don't believe that is true. I am pretty sure his father was Peter Dudzik and his mother was Agnes Majcher. He was probably born in Poland and came here with his mother, a sister Mary, and a brother John. From what I have learned so far, they originally settled in PA and then moved to Floodwood, Minnesota, then Superior, Wisconsin. In 1930, the family split and Anges, Mary, and John moved to CA. I'm not sure what happened to Peter, but Walter moved to Detroit, MI. There, he married Marie Szvida and had my grandfather, George Dudzik. I believe that he may have assumed this Walter Dudzik's identity, as the birth certificate we have is clearly fake. Also, I am not sure that he really was the father of my grandfather. He may have been an orphan. Any information would be greatly appreciated!
