Yes, please, I would like to see this cutting. My line of DUFFs includes army men from 1860 onwards, two of whom had the name James. The earliest is Patrick DUFF, who rose from Sergeant-clerk to Barrackmaster before retiring in the 1870s. I have no information on his parents, so I'm clutching straws to see if your Capt. James Duff may be a relation!

For interest, Patrick and his wife, Maria KELLY, had a son, James Charles, a lieutenant-colonel at Sandhurst College when he retired. He and his wife, Maud SQUANCE, had a son, James Albert Vincent, who was a captain. He married Marguerite BERNHEIM.
