repost: Duffeler in Enghien, Hainaut??

Subject: [BEL-R] Duffeler in Enghien, Hainaut
Date: Mon, 1 Sep 2003 04:35:25 -0700 (PDT)

I am looking for descendents of Jacques DUFFELER and Catherine DE SMET. They are the parents of Egide DUFFELER who was born at Enghien, Hainaut, 18 Feb 1768 (FHL Film 281511).

My ancestor, Pierre Joseph DUFFELER, died at Deux-Acren
[Lessines, Hainaut] 8 december 1790. And Enghien is only about 10 km from Lessines.

Also, Duffeler is not a common name(of German origin?); so I am wondering if anyone has Duffeler connections in Enghien, Hainaut that may be related or may point to origin in Germany.

Brian Martin
