Does anyone have information about James Duffin who married Phebe McGuffin at Londonderry in 1845? They later emigrated to Gateshead, County Durham, England where James died in 1879 and Phebe in 1876. Their daughter, Elizabeth, married James Drain in Gateshead in 1877.

My grandfather, William Duffin came from ballemone (sp) and resided in Ontario, Thorold, Fonthill, and St.Catharines area. He married Sarah (sadie).I have a cousin named Patrick after someone in Ireland. He was protestant irish. I have heard allot of agatha mentioned but not sure if she was an aunt mother cousin....etc, I was told my grandfather came over to canada to work on the welland cannel

I have seen records for Montreal and also Ontario referring to a William Duffin.

Francis McCann and his wife Susan Scullion McCann emigrated to East Liverpool, Ohio from Antrim, Ireland in 1868. They brought 7 children with them and 2 daughters were born in Ohio. Three of their sons, Patrick, Hugh, and Jeremiah married and had children. Patrick is my great-grandfather.

Ok this is what I know about the McCann side of my family.

Angela McCann (me) Born Arizona 1975

John A. McCann (my dad) born Washington 1949 died Arizona 2004

James C. McCann (my grandpa) Born 1910 Moline, Ill Died Arizona 1980

James M. McCann (g-grandpa) Born 1885 Rock Island, Il Died ?

Thomas J. McCann (g-g-grandpa) Born 1856 Connecticut Died ?

James McCann (g-g-g-grandpa) Born 1830 Ireland.

I know James C and James M spent some time in Ohio for a while. Hope some of this is familiar.

Hello, my name is Angela and I am researching the Duffin side of my family. My g-g-g-grandmother was Bridget Duffin. She was born in Norther Ireland around 1846. She married James Henry in Nov 25,1869 in Cookstown Co. Tyrone. At the time of marriage Bridget was living in Killygonlan, but her father Hugh Duffin was living in Trickvallen. Not sure if this Hugh Duffin is the same as yours but would love to see if we have a connection. Thanks Angela

My grandfather was Richard Duffin from County Antrim, Ireland, who married Mary Gallagher of Kirkentilloch, Scotland. They had one daughter, Sarah, and three sons: Arthur, John (my father born 1917 in U.S.) and Con (real name Peter Cornelius, after Mary's father, Peter Gallagher). My maternal grandmother was Agnes McPhail, born 1899 in Blantyre, Scotland.

The marriage document for William Duffin and Maria Pears shows her father as being Thomas Pears, a weaver. The marriage took place in 1843 in Nottingham St Mary's Parish. Maria died in 1849 and there are no records to be found for her father. There could be a problem with the spelling of her name. I think she and her mother were shown on the 1841 census as Pearce, Mary and Maria on Plum Street in Nottingham. That address is one street over from Currant Street which is the address given on the marriage document.

I have church records showing Francis Duffin marrying Rose Walsh on Feb. 13, 1841. They were married in Glenravel, Co. Antrim.

Not sure about your Elmer, but I was walking around the Dresden Cemetery today with my pup, taking some pics of tombstones and happen to take a photo of a Duffin family.

Robert died Feb.4 1889 age 77
Eliza died April 3 1901 age 67

I'd be happy to share it with you if you'd like.

Hi I was wondering if you have by chance come across a mary duffin who was born around 1880. Mary married a patrick rocks in dec 1901. I have very little information to go on and would gladly welcome any info no matter how small.
