Note: Joseph VEIO (VIAU) and Agnes DUFFY married JAN 19, 1910, Elyria, Ohio. They had one child, a daughter, Josephine VEIO b. c. 1912, Cheboygan, Cheboygan, MI. I'm searching to see if Josephine ever married. I am also looking for the birth record of Josephine VEIO, b. 1812, Cheboygan, MI.

Note: Joseph VEIO is an older brother to my grandfather, Frederick Henry VEIO.

Note: Joseph VEIO and Agnes nee DUFFY were both born in New York. I'm assuming they met in Cheboygan, MI; wed in Ohio; and lived and died in Michigan.

Please contact me if you have information to share. Thank you.

PROMINANT CITIZEN SUDDENLY STRICKEN

Joseph VIEO, Proprietor of the Saloon First Door South of the post office Dies After a Week's Illness.

The funeral of Joseph VIEO was held this morning, being attended by a large number of citizens, and his remains were interred in Calvary cemetery.

Mr. Vieo's death occurred on Tuesday morning at nine o'clock after less than a week's illness of inflammation of the bowels. When he was taken ill his troube was considered very serious and the attending physician resorted to every known means to relieve the unfortunate man, but the end came swift and sure, however, none were prepared to hear of this sad news when the end came, and his death proved a real shock to the whole community, as he was universally known and as well liked.

His business at the saloon where he has been located for so many years has made him a broad circle of friends, and all speak in the highest praise of the man.

Deceased leaves a widow and infant girl.
