I am looking for any information on an early stage and film actor, James Clarence Duffy, who later performed under the name Clarence Harvey. Duffy died in the St. Luke's Hospital in New York, Mary 3, 1945 (I have an obit) claiming to be the son of famous restaunteer, George Harvey, but he was a notorious liar and possibly a bigamist. In 1907, one of his wives, Ethel Blanch Hoyt Duffy, divorced him in New York. Duffy was the father of my maternal grandfather, James Clarence Duffy (1882-1960). The mother was an actress by the name of Mary Allen. THANKS!
