Owen Duffy was also my paternal great-grandfather; his daughter, Fannie Fern, married my grandfather, James Mitchell Savitz. The family lore says they moved to Atlanta from Collinsville IL, where they moved after IN,
and he at some point was living near Carrollton Ga, in Mt. Zion, according to some of the recent postings. According to my info, Owen was married to Mary Jane Mitchell, daughter of John Mitchell and Margaret Nimmo, which is also what some of the recent postings say. He was proprietor of a hotel in Jefferson IN in the 1890's. All of my notes are in FL., to which we will return in a couple of weeks. Once I can review them, I can give dates and lots more info.
