I have some information about someone whom I think was Alexander's father. Ellick Duggins was born in County Cork Ireland in 1725 and he died in 1800 in Virginia. He was married first to a lady called Mary who died then to someone called Alice.

I have info on four children.
Ellick Jnr. born 1747
Alexander born 1750 - died 1805
William Thomas born 1751 - died 1827
Benjamin born 1765.

I am trying to trace the parents of an Ellick Duggan/Duggin Born 1725 Co. Cork in Ireland and who died in 1800 in Virginia. His posterity included an ellen duggins Born 1859 probably in Kentucky. She is my g.g.grandmother.

Yes, I would love to have a picture and all the information I can get. My mother was Gladys Booth her fathers name was Booth her mothers family name was Easley her grandmother was Mary Ellen Duggins. The family lived in Tulsa and Muskogee OK until coming to Ca her brother Virgil lived there till he died but their mothers family almost all died during the world one epidimic so it is so nice to find all this out. I really have no idea when or where Ellen was born. All I have is the info in the bible. I wish it have more info in it, but I am afraid that is all I have. I had not heard of her before. It states her husband was W.C.Couch. Just initials,no name. Not much help there either since there are alot of WC Couch's. Can't find anything definite under my grandfather William Carter Couch. I thought his father was Andrew Jackson Couch, but maybe not. Thanks

I did not find Ellen Duggins, but I did find the following on William Carter Couch:
Born: 11-17-1888 Mountain Home, Arkansas
Died: 6-16-1952 California
Married 6-5-1916 Sapulpa, Creek, Oklahoma
Hazel Vern Comstock
daughter Helen born 1918
daughter Gevevive born 1920

But it gives his parents as Andrew Jackson Couch
Born: 1838 Arkansas Died: Eastland, Texas
Mother Mary Goff Born 1839

Macklin Cager was his correct name and he was my great Grandfather, I have his complete line and extensive stories. Did not know about Kate getting married a second time, however after her death her parents left $20,000. to Macklin for the 5 kids they had together, and that's another story. I don't show a Nellie as a daughter to Macklin, it maybe that Kate had her after the divorce and before she got married again. Macklin had to go and get their 5 kids from her as she wasn't able to care for them. My Grandfather was their oldest son. I will be happy to share more directly ggd11thacr@yahoo.com

I am looking for information on the son listed with Patience in the 1860 Ozark County census. I believe him to be the Mc Cager (?) Duggins married to Kate E. Mefford, October 2, 1881. Any information you would be willing to share on their children and the death date for McCager would be very helpful.

Kate E. Duggins married her second husband, James Silvey. Nellie Duggins is listed with her mother and step-father in the 1900 census in Peno Township, Pike County, Missouri. Kate's parents, Caleb W. and Cinderella Petty Mefford were married in Pike County. Nellie married an Alvin Burke.

I am searching for information on my great great grandfather William Duggins (1825-1888) who I understood was born in VA. He married a Mary Elizabeth Jones in Kentucky. They eventually moved to and settled near Higginsville MO (just 50 miles east of Kansas City) where he raised 9 children. I believe his father is Alexander Duggins and he was born in Ireland. Read your 2002 post regarding Casey County Ross'.Email used then is not longer valid My name is Jim Ross. I was born in Casey County and recently began researching my ancestory. In my research I came across a posting you made in the About.Com GENFORUM regarding John Logan Ross. John is a brother to my great grandfather George Washington Ross. George is listed as age 14 in the 1860 census. The only information I have is what I have found in census reports and on GENFORUM.

My wife Jeannette (Roberts) Ross is the granddaughter of George and Molly Putteet. They lived on a little farm behind Clifford and Elizabeth Wesley. Are you related?

In your posting you indicated that you had information on about 4 generations of Robert's family. I would be truly appreciative if you would send me a copy. I have DNA Genealogy information if you are interested. I will answer any questions that I can.

My alexander was the son of Stephen Duggins Jr. & Patience Risely, My Alexander was born June 1, 1834 and Married Delina Johnson Condern March 10, 1854 died November 8, 1855 they had 1 son before his death Macklin Cager Duggins Sr. Born 12/29/1854 Macklin Cager Sr. had 5 childern and was my Great Grandfather. Cathrine Risley-Duggins was the sister of Patience and widow of Patience's Husband Stephen Duggins Jr.'s brother John Duggins. Did you realize that My 8th great grandfather an ancestor of Patience was Richard Risley founder of Hartford CT. lots of history there Oh! I almost forgot Sidney was the son of John and Cathrine Duggins. My FTM file has over 5000 names in my Duggins merge file

I have the Risley line back to 1623 when Richard Risley Sr. sailed from Downs England on the Ship "Griffin" on July 15, 1633 and landed in Boston Harbor Sept. 4, 1633. And a whole story about him. I have been working on my family tree for over 30 years and have found that the census are not very reliable as there are a lot of mis-spellings and people just put stuff down, sometimes listing people who were just visiting. My files are all done in a "Familty Tree Maker" program version 8.
Reuben is the son of David Sr. son of Alexander Sr.

Found Everett Duggins 24 & Fannie 23 in 1920 Grayson Co KY Census, Children Listed: Hershel 3, Cory 1. Caneyville is a town in Grayson Co KY. Found Cory's birth record 10 May 1918, Also Russell L. 16 Feb 1921, Zelma E. 04 Oct 1923, & Loraine 14 Mar 1926, All born Grayson Co KY & Mother Fannie Geary. Could not find Everett in 1910 Grayson Co KY Census to pick up his father.

In regards Caleb lee and Cammie Duggins family, I also have been researching the Duggins family from Guliford County, N.C. I am the great-great granddaughter of Caleb and Cammie my name is Alison Cammie Duggins my grandfather is the 10 child of caleb lee Ernest Caleb Lee Duggins when his father married cammie they 5 children Rosie, Mary, Margaret, Harriet, Cary and Ernest. The 1st 5 children he had with Jettie is Albert who married Jennie there was a "BIG" Ernest the oldest who died in WW1 from the flu at Ft. Jackson. the other children in the 1st half have not found. When Caleb Lee died my grandfather was 16 in 1937. My father is the last male duggins on this side of the family. His name is Kalub Dewey ( the dr spelled his first name wrong so they kept that way) .
