Hello there,
i am a Duhig ancestor.Duhig being mother's maiden name.
Originally her father's family came across from southern Ireland to southern England in the past 100 yrs or less.
My grandfather is 81 & has a sister & brother living, who are older than him!My grandfather had 3 kids, one a boy so the name being carried on,you don't hear of it too much. Also he has a young son therefore another generation hopefully of this unusual name.
I've not had the chance to meet ancestors in Ireland as as yet
but my granparents, auntie & uncle have & they say they are wonderfully welcoming.Infact they went to Cork & mention the name & they found many relatives who they now visit annually.
