Classification: Query
My GrGr Grandmother was Margaret DUHIGG c1831 in County Limerick. Margaret was tried in Bruff in 1851 and sent to Tasmania on board the Martin Luther in 1852. She had been in Grangegorman Jail. Her convict record ( from Tasmania) tell us that she was born in County Limerick, had a husband Maurice, that she had not seen in 5years. Her father was John and she had a brother James. Margaret ended up here in New Zealand and on all her childrens birth certificates she has her maiden name as Duffy. One her marriage certificate she has her father as John Duffy and her mother as Mary nee Fitzgibbon, Erly, County Limerick. I have searched for a place called Erly, but have had no luck.
Any help or suggestions where to start looking would be greatly appreciated as we are looking to put a headstone on Margarets grave.
Cheers
