Am researching the Duhig (Duffy) family of Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland. Duffy is the English equivalent of Duhig. Duhig surname usually found only in Munster Province. Looking for the parents of Michael Duhig, married Margaret Gaynor (Gainer), and died in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland about 1852 at Christmas time. Sons John, Michael and Maurice along with mother Margaret migrated to Wisconsin between 1851 and 1853. It is believe that children Ellen, Kate and Thomas died in Ireland. Michael was a schoolteacher in Tralee. Researching John Duhig of Milwaukee, Wisc, died a 1902 and John, Ellen and Michael Duhig of Eau Claire, Wisc. late 1800's believed to be relatives. Any assistance would be appreciated.
