Seeking info on James Madison Duke born in S.C. abt 1815. Married Lavenia Jennings abt 1835. Children were: Elizabeth,Perry,Mary,Lewis "Brat",William,John T.,George,Warren,Amanda,Margaret. I found-John T.,Brat,and Perry on the 1880 Franklin Co. Alabama census w/their families. James Madison Duke was living in the household of his son Perry without his wife lavenia.
