I have no documentation for this, but somewhere I saw it listed as Sibisiah Catherine Dulaney. The 1920 US Census of Titus County, Texas, does list her as Cinnie Catherine (Stephens), so the middle name Catherine is undoubtedly correct, but the common name listed for the nickname Sibbie is Sybil - and its various spellings Sibbell, Sybilla, Sibbilla, Sibbell.

In 2004, she moved from Conyers, Georgia where she was a member of Light of the World Christian Tabernacle.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Lucille Snapp Harrison, husband Ollie Dulaney, and brothers Theodore, Robert, James and Paul.

DULANEY Junious Dulaney, Sr., "Bug", 82, went home to be with the Lord September 9, 2011 at OSU Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio (Franklin County).

He was born in Camden, Alabama (Wilcox County) February 25, 1929 to Billy and Virginia Dulaney.

He is preceded in death by wife Bernice Dulaney, parents, four brothers and two sisters, and one granddaughter. Junious retired after 31 years from the City of Columbus, Ohio Dept. of Refuse; a member of St. Johns Baptist Church and former member of Greater 12th Baptist Church and a member of the Masons.

He leaves to cherish his memories children, James Bell, Curtis (Susan) Qualls, Junious Jr., Leordis (Tyianna), Kenneth Dulaney, Gwendolyn Floyd, LaVon Dulaney (caregiver); brother Albert (Naomi) Dulaney; 14 grand-children; 14 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Family to receive friends 9 a.m. until time of homegoing celebration 10 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Greater 12th Baptist Church, 1561 Cleophus Kee Blvd. Pastor Dorian R. Grant, officiating.

My wife's grandfather was Perry Thomas Dulaney b. 25 Jul 1891 in Mountain Grove, MO, D. 5 Sep 1973 in Walnut Ridge, AR. His father was Alfred Edward Dulaney (some records show Edward Alfred but same person). Alfred Edward b. 1860 ikn Upper Loutre, Montgomery, Missouri, d. 1921 Ashland, Lawrence Co., Arkansas.
I'm still trying to confirm Alfred's father Alfred A. Dulaney b. 1819 in Virginia, d. Missouri and his father is a person who is the missing link to the rest of the ancestors.

I came across WWII ration books addressed to Robert Thomas Dulaney and letters and old traffic tickets addressed to Russell Henry Dulaney in Washington DC. Some of the letters are written by a Shirley, and other letters are written by a Carrie or Connie... In addition, there are a few short diary entries from a "Jenny" describing her relationship with a man named Russell. We found these papers in a deserted house on Oak Drive in Alexandria, VA. There are also 2 pictures, one of Mommy and the other of Russell Jr., the letter is written by Connie (aka Ms Constance Tates of Illinois) to Russell Dulaney. My daughter and I would love to get you reconnected with these family heirlooms. William Payton Dulaney, born 15 Feb 1829 in Alabama, was my great, great grandfather. He married Lucinda White, 11 Jan 1849 in Balden, Lee Co, Mississippi. He was killed 5 Nov 1862 in Parker, Texas by a close friend who mistook him for a hostile Indian. His daughter, Sarah Ann was my great grandmother. I remember her well.

1. You have John Dulaney Jr. b abt 1747 & his wife Susannah b abt 1723.
2. You have Susannah's father Rhomas Watts Jr. b in England 15 Aug 1736. How can that be? Am I misunderstanding the info?
3. You also have Thomas Jr. b in England & Thomas Sr. b in Spotsylvania Co Va. Is this correct? Can you please clarify your dates for me.

Myra middle name was Nina. She was the daughter of George Elmer Dulaney & Addie Marie Hudson. She died at age 34 yrs of Pneumonia. She is buried in Etlan, VA in a small cememtary. I visited her grave in 1984. She died 26 Dec 1926. She married Upton Graves Weakley on 08 Oct 1913 in Washington City, District Of Columbia. They had two children-Grace Hope Weakley (1919-1974) in a Nursing home and Kermit Ashford Weakley (1915 - 1991).

I thought I recognized your name, from some of the things my uncle had. Aunt Kay isn't doing very well. She was in a car accident, stayed in a nursing home for awhile, and is trying to heal so she can move back to Ohio, where her children are. Thanks for asking!

Sorry to hear about your Uncle Joe. How is Kay doing? They were living in Delaware.

You're descended from George Nelson Dulaney-one of Gabriel's sons. I'm from George Elmer Dulaney. I have traced the Dulaney family back to Spain. They lived in England, France and further back Spain. Gabriel and Larkin are separate brothers. Gabriel was 70 years old in the Va 1860-1870 Census. Larkin died in 1839 and I have his marriage certificate. Many researchers have gotten Ganriel and his brother Larkin confused. I visited the Mormom Library for a week in October with Family Seekers inc. Professional Genealogists assisted us and I found quite a bit of information.

Gabriel's parents were John Dulaney, Jr. 1747-1817 and Susannah Watts, 1747-?.
Gabriel's wife was Patsy Leathers. Date of marriage was 11 Dec 1805. I'm not sure of her parents. I have John Leatherer (?) 1736-1818 and Sarah White.
Gabriel and Patsy's children were:

Mariah Dulaney
John Mark Dulaney
Ephraim Dulaney 1811-1887 (My line)
George Allen Dulaney 1824-1897

I haven't got any siblings for Patsy Leathers, as yet. I have the same info for Nancy Ellen Huffman that you have.
I have George also marrying Eveline F. Rouse 30 Aug 1853 in Madison, VA.
George Elmer Dulaney married Addie Marie Hudson 3 Jun 1891. I don't have children for them, as yet. But in the 1910 census for Robertson, Madison, VA they list:

Willie A. " 14 yo
Elmer K. " 12 yo
Ellen F. " 10 yo

They are all also in the 1920 census, except for Ellen F. (parent).
I have George Elmer's death as 22 Jan 1951. Is this correct?

I realize this message was posted a good while back. But I am new to ancestry. My grandfather's name was Roye Sevier DuLaney. He was born in TN, moved later to Somerset, KY. He is buried in Jonesborough, TN in a church cemetery there.

Have you tried other boards with the names spelled differently? I'm originally from Blytheville, ARK, but we have ties to Tenn, Mich, Kentucky, Arkansas, Missouri, California, Louisiana and other states. My maiden name was DELANEY, and I have found many duplicates of my history is under Dulaney, Dulany, Dulane, De Laune, DeLaune and so on. You would be very surprised at what you find. My line is from Thomas,the three Gideon De Laune's, John to Joseph and so on to my grandfather Elisha Delaney who was born in Tenn in 1900. My father was Hassel Delaney, born in 1925 to Elisha and Ella (Swain)Delaney. Ella's sister married into Leland Massey's line, she was in Calif for many years. If you have anything on this line, or photos I would really like to hear from you...thanks.

I am looking for family. My father was William Edward D. In 52 he was 35, and was stationed at Fort Campbell. I know I have half brothers and/or sisters. I would love to find some family. He had a snake tatoo on one of his arms. Please help me find my family.
