Today is my first day on Ancestry and I read your message regarding Hannah Dulworth. According to my geneology,Hannah married William "Billy" Spears (1810-1889), son of Isaac Spear (1784-1876) and Elizabeth Atkins (1788-1870).They had 8 children: William Taylor, Betts, Isaac (my great-grandfather), John, Nance, Bledsoe, Sally, and James.

Cordell Dulworth

April 18, 1929 - April 23, 2006

Cordell Dulworth, 77, Kokomo, formerly of Windfall, died at 12:50 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2006, at North Woods Village in Kokomo.

He was born April 18, 1929 in Celinda, Tenn., a son of Charles and Rosetta (Wilburn) Dulworth. On Jan. 28, 1950, he married Hassie Mae Boles, and she died Feb. 17, 1998.

He farmed for 23 years and retired from Durex Products in Windfall in 1997. He loved to spend time fishing and hunting.

He is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Deanie and Roger Lytle, Sue and Barry Bowser and Ann Moore, all of Kokomo; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Ray Dulworth and Lawrence Dulworth of Kokomo and Larry and Becky Dulworth of Windfall; two brothers, Kirby Dulworth of Windfall and Edward Dulworth of Springfield, Tenn.

He also is survived by nine grandchildren, Amy Bunch, Brad Marr, Tommy Dulworth, Melissa Delrymple, Jeremy Marr, Shane Fawbush, Amanda Keen, Bryan Dulworth and Blake Karabin; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Odell, Freeman and Jay Dulworth, and two sisters, Estelle Ellis and Annalee Rich.

Services are 2 p.m. Thursday in Young-Nichols Funeral Home, with the Rev. Kevin Carr presiding. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery, Windfall. Visitationis 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Correction to the above. Matilda was the half sister to Jane Dulworth and the aunt of Martelle Roach and Ben Dulworth.

Clayton and Matilda Nation are buried in the Granite, Oklahoma city cemetery. Matilda was the sister of my great grandmother (Martelle Roach). Matilda's brother (Ben Dulworth) and mother (Jane Dulworth) are also buried in this cemetery.

I found her on an ancestry.com site being born in 1807. Then it lists her parents as John Dulworth (no other information) and Mary L. Broadway...born 1875....68 years after her daughter was born...all the ancestry then goes back from this 1875 date. Does anyone have any information on Louvena? These can't be her parents, or someone has their dates all wrong. Thanks.

I was just browsing the internet and found this site. I am the son of Charlie Lewis Dulworth (Redoak, TX). He was the son of Francis Caldwell and the brother of Jess and Les, the twins. They had a sister named Elva. Francis father was David Mitchell Dulworth. We think they come from the line of Dulworth's related to John Dulworth from Tenessee but are not sure.

I believe David Mitchell Dulworth's father was Burly Dulworth, he was listed in the 1870 Overton Tn census. Burly was 45 b 1825, wife Hyla b 1825, Nancy E b 1853, Wm B b 1856, David M b 1858, Sarah J b 1859, James C b 1861, Ruth J b 1863, Malachi b 1865, Minerva b 1866 and Mary L b 1869.
I am related a few times to the Dulworths and to Nancy Ashlocks family too.
Since Burly was b in 1825 I do not know whose son he would be but he could be John Dulworth Jr's son. He had a son B b 1830 in the 1850 Cumberland Ky census. John died in 1855 and left a will. I only have the abstract which names a daughter Ailsa , son James and John and mentions 13 children. Was adm by John Dulworth andJohn Rush and witnessed by Burrell Willis and Wm Gregory.

I am looking for information on Louvinia Dulworth, who married John Rush, 1827 in Knox County, TN. Family members tell me that Louvinia's surname is Broadway. However, I have copies of death certificates for her children that list her maiden name as Dulworth. There is also, a LDS record that states her name is Muckleweed. Any help is appreciated. I'm new at this and have traced my family back to David Mitchell Dulworth. I trying to make the link between David and the original John Dulworth or Dulwich believed from Germany. Also I believe David was married twice and my decedents are from the first wife Nancy Ashlock Dulworth. So far I have starting with my father Tommy L. Dulworth, (Roy) Leon Dulworth, Jessie Dulworth, Francis Dulworth,David Mitchell Dulworth... Also I know that Francis had a twin brother Burl who moved to Oklahoma. Any help would be appreciated.

I saw this posting and thought you may have the person and/or family I am looking for; her name is Thursa Jane Dulworth from Kentucky or Tennessee area around Cumberland Co., Ky. She supposedly married Dock Daniels. One of their Children was Maury and maybe Karrie?
I'm not sure of the spelling. Maury married Curtis Hall Capps.
Karrie married a man named Cook. They are a branch of the family tree but not direct. I would appreciate any help on this.

Check for him on Genealogy.com message boards. I have spoke with him recently on the Dulworth board there. Just enter his name in the search box, when you get a list of his messages, open one and click on his name at top of message it will give his email address.

Did the Burl Dulworth you were speaking of have a daughter named Lucinda that married Miles Richard Willis in Adair County, KY on January 6, 1889? Miles and Lucinda moved to Lancaster, Dallas County, Texas in about 1908 and died there. Please advise. My email is shirleyn@kyol.net

My great-great-great-grandfather was John Dulworth . His wife was Mary Brawdeway. I am a descendant of James Dulworth born in 1805.His children were Mathais Tice who was my Great grandfather,Benjamin, Jacob,John D,Abraham, and Nancy M. My grandfather was Benjamin Frankin Dulworthwho was a son of Mathais Tice Dulworth. My mother was Agnes Mattie Dulworth , one of 12 children born to Benjamin and Hexie May (Sullivan) Dulworth. I have very little info. except what I found on the web and some I have got from my cousin. If you have any info concerning our ancestors before John please let me know. I am putting my info on a Family File and I would like for all of it to be correct. Even if you have info on the rest of the Dulworths from Tennessee or Kentucky please let me know. I am descended from Hannah, daugter of John and Mary Dulworth. She married William Speer around 1830. They had eight children. One of them James married Para Lee Long. James and Para Lee (Polly) son Ezar married Mary An Scott. These were my graet-grandparents. Through their daughter Pearlie who marriedher fifth cousin James Spears. They had five children, one who was my mother Opal. They all lived in Burkesville KY., until my grandparents moved their family to Franklin TN.
Any information you have on the first John Dulworth I would appreciate.

I am trying to find a Thursa Jane Dulworth, b abt 1881 Probably Cumberland Co Ky. She married Burr E. Daniels(Dock). THey had these children:Perry 1902, Marshall 1904,Edd 1906, Clara W 1909, Maury B 1911, Forest L 1914, Burr L 1916, Raymond G 1918 and Waymon 1919.
I know they lived in Cumberland Co at one time and possibly Overton Tn too.

Marlene, my father was Billy Ray Dulworth, son of Joe Wheeler Dulworth. It is my understanding the tree goes like this using myself as the starting point:

Joe David Dulworth-->Billy Ray Dulworth-->Joe Wheeler Dulworth-->David Mitchelle Dulworth-->Burl Dulworth-->John Dulworth-->John Dulwitt.

I have no hard data to confirm all of this such as birth certificates and census records; just family word of mouth mostly. Anything you might have to confirm it would be helpful. Thank you. Joe.

The Dulworth ancestors I am researching are from the Cumberland Co., Ky. area, but the names are not familiar that you mentioned. Burl Dulworth came from Cumberland, KY. to Texas, and settled in the Ellis and Dallas Counties in Texas. from Cumberland. His son was David Mitchell Dulworth, who was my husbands grandfather.
