Jack, did your grandfather go by the name of George Dumas? Since James is not of Franco
origins and probably derived from a materal great grand parent, have you had any luck with the
McDermott line in Massachusetts? My business will take me by the Massachusetts State
Archives next week, I will take a few minutes and drop in and see what they have on file.
Sometimes you'll find one side by locating the other in the same geographic area. I have also
looked into the Rhode Island Cemeteries list project and can down load the Dumas/Dumais list
to your e-mail address if you desire. I also have family living in Franklin, MA, and will inquire
on this also. Let's keep in touch.
