Got it a little wrong. My husband was Gilbert Dumas (father Albert Dumas/mother Loraine Schwartz) His grandparents were Alex Dumas/Mary Rene Morin and Peter Schwartz/Louisa Reinhardt. When I talked to the family in 1980 there wasn't much interest and this is all the information I could get. My late husband talked about his parents' brothers/sisters married brothers/sisters and he had "double cousins". So it's likely the Alex Dumas in your family was my husband's grandfather. Alex was born 1870 and died in 1940 but my mother-in-law did not know where. That's all I have. Good luck in your search.
