Rescued DUM Family Photos, Pennsylvania & Ohio Connections

I rescued a pile of DUM family photos. Many were taken in Harrisburg, PA. I did some research and found some of the family members in Perry Co. PA and scattered about.

Some of the photos are of:

Also in the pile were photos (2) one each of George BILLOW
and Sally (shown as Sarah in the census) BILLOW of Shelby, OH. Sally is Grandma Dum's youngest sister. The photos were taken in Shelby, OH.

The last one is of a girl named Selina MILLER. She had connection to the family. Tutor or companion? She lived with Grandpa SPOTTS for a time and then with the writer's family (info on the back of the photo.) Helped Mamma study when she attended a school.

Ok..I'm stuck! I need some help to begin to trace a part of my family. I know my grandfather-Adam Jay DUMM was born to John H. DUMM Mary C SHADD in 1889 in Logansport, Cass County, Indiana. John had siblings: Paul (last heard of in FL), Clara Lois (stayed in Logansport area)

After many hours of searching on the net I can find nothing further back than this. I have also contacted what few relatives are available, which is how I got this much information. Please email me any info you may have.

I'm trying to locate information on the children of George Dumm/Dum who was in Berks County in the 1700's. He was born abt 1725, spouse unk. Had one child Peter b abt 1754. Trying to locate the parents of Maria Elizabeth Dumm aka Amaidia Dum b 1766 Albany, Berks, PA. She married Charles Betz.

Mabel Dumm

Trying to learn more information on Mabel Dumm. Her parents were James Dumm and Louvina Innis.She was born in 1889 and died in Harrisburg, PA in 1991. I believe she taught in Clinton County, PA. and Philadelphia, and was very active in civil rights for she spent time working at Tuskegee University in the summers.

Looking for any info on Samuel Dumm born in Ohio around 1825, his family was from Pennsylvania. Samuel was found in 1880 census in Lost Creek, Vigo Co, Indiana. His wife was Elizabeth, think her last name was either Boovers or Bowers? They had George Dumm born about 1859, Ida and Nelson Wells Dumm, I think twins in 1866. Later found Nelson in Oregon. Nelson married Jessie Belle Patterson and had Clifford Dumm born in 1902 in Bonanza Oregon.

I am looking for descendants of Rev. Frank Alvin Dumm. He was born 15 Jul 1866 and died 19 Mar 1951. He is buried in Belle Center, OH. His wife was Carrie Eliza McKown. Frank's parents were Samuel M. Dumm and Mary Jane Minteer. According to a Minteer family history by Joesphine Dickinson, Frank also wrote a Minteer history. Does anyone know of this document?

Looking for more info on my Grandmothers side. My GG-GF was Cyrus M Dumm born Nov 9 1917, married a (Sarah Clance) Dumm, childern were Alabina , Elizabeth, Hiram who is my G-grandfather, Nancy, Milton, Clarissa Amanda M & Cyrus E.
My G-Grandfather Hiram Dumm b.Dec 1,1843, d.Oct 14,1917,he married Gertrude Encinas or Oaks, had 6 known childern Margaret, Mary, Milton, Frank, Jessie and Christina who is my grandmother.They lived in Sonora Mex for 30 years as a miner and used the Name Milton Nelson.He served B,40 Pa. Inf.I think he was born in Penn, but know nothing more about Gertrude or Hirams parents.

Looking for information on Daniel Dumm and Catharina Klein and their descendants. Catharina Klein was born in Richmond Twp. Berks Co. Pa on June 28, 1825. She was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Klein (my ancestor). She married Daniel Dumm and they moved to Ohio, where she was still residing in 1898.

Louis G. and Emil Dumm

I am looking for information regarding Emil Dumm brother of Louis George Dumm (my husbands grandfather). He and Louis both immigrated to this country from Kasa Hungry sometime between 1904-1905. Both were sponsored. Both had to wait four years to get into the country. Both went to school to learn english before the immigrated to the US. Both then enlisted into the Army. Louis G. then changed his last name to Dunn. Louis G. fought with BlackJack Pershing during the Mexican Incursion around 1910-1911. As far as I know he and his brother never got back together again after they entered the military. Louis left the military in 1917, after 12 years service, because they would not let him fight in WW1. Apparently, so the story goes, since the Austro-Hungarian Empire started the thing he was considered an enemy alien. Good enough to train troops but not good enough to fight. I have heard that his brother moved up towards the great lakes region. Louis G. Dunn became a naturalized citizen in 1921. Louis G Dunn is listed as Lewis Dunn in the 1920 census. He married Ethel M. Keech in 1917 and moved to Akron Ohio. My father Louis G. Dunn Jr. was born about a month after the cenus was taken and of course is not listed

I have a newspaper obit for Adam Dumm born in Logansport, Cass Co, IN 1/5/1889 to John H Dumm Mary Shadd. But I cannot find any record of his birth from any other source.

I have a record of births for John Dunn Mary Shadd, John Dunn ____ Chad, and a John Dunn Lizzie Chad (all with in about 5 years). This comes from an index of all births for the time period. I can find no record of a John Dumm in Cass County Indiana during this time period.

Anyone have any information that can help sort this out?

I am looking for Mary Dumm. I worked with her in San Antonio Texas and she was with me for the birth of my child. She was like a mother to me. I have lost contact with her and would love to find her.
She has two sons, Joey and Micheal???
She is from St. Louis and was married to Micheal Dumm. That is all I know so If you can give me any information, I would love to hear from you!
