I am trying to learn more about the first wife of Nahum Dunham, who was born on 11 September 1774 in Piscataway, New Jersey and died on 27 September 1832 in Jackson, New York. According to my notes, he married a "Lydia" in 1799/1800 and she died in 1804/5. They had two children, Jonathan and Lydia Dunham. His family Bible then lists another marriage to Anna Deming. Some sources suggest that Lydia's maiden name was, in fact, Beebe, as a history of Washington County indicated that Nahum Dunham lived close to a Beebe family. That said, I cannot find anything to validate or refute that theory. I would therefore greatly appreciate any tips or suggestions to help me solve this mystery.
