Mr. DUNHAM was b 1847, NY but moved to Michigan with his parents when he was a small boy. He hunted buffaloes & was at a nearby army post at he time of Custer's Last Stand. He went to the Black Hills in North Dakota & married Kate O'REILLY. In 1898 he joined the Alaskan Gold Rush. In 1899 he established a grocery store on Second Street in Dawson. He went to Auburn, WA in 1911 & opened a grocery store there. Fred died 17 Feb 1926, Auburn, WA. He was survived by his widow, Mrs. Kate DUNHAM, two sons, Sidney DUNHAM of Yakima & Michael DUNHAM of Auburn & two daughters, Rachel & Frances DUNHAM, both of Auburn.
