I may have tracked down these women. These are speculative, so if anyone knows more, please post. Thank you.

Alice C. Knapp (1855-1936) married Edward S. Shanley (1842-1909) in 1879.

Their children:

Guy Shanley (1880-1880)
Elmer J. Shanley (Jan 1882 in Nebraska)
Ernest Shanley (Aug 1886 in Kansas)
Bessie Shanley (Jul 1892 in Kansas)
Elsa or Elsie Shanley (Nov 1894 in Kansas)
Emmett Shanley (Sep 1895 in Kansas)

Alice C. Knapp-Shanley and Edward S. Shanley were both buried in Gaylord Cemetery in Smith County, KS. Edward and Alice Shanley were living with Alice's mother Adelia in the 1885 Kansas Census, which is why I suspect this is the right Alice.

Her half-sister Abbie Dunham, I believe, married Dan Cook (Aug 1859 in New York). Sometimes spelled Daney or Dany Cook. She was also buried in the Gaylord Cemetery.

According to her grave marker, she was born 4 Nov 1869 and died 25 Feb 1908. She doesn't appear in the 1910 Census and her husband was listed as "widowed."

The reason I believe this is the same Abbie is because she's the only Abbie or Abigail or Candis (of any spelling) in the cemetery who fits in terms of age.

According to the 1900 Census, they married in 1886.

Their children:

Iva L. Cook (Jan 1890 in Utah)
Elva L. Cook (Sep 1895 in Kansas)
Everett Reed Cook (4 Sep 1896 in Fowler, Colorado)
