FUNERAL SERVICES -

-Yesterday the funeral of Mr. Albert DUNKEL took place at Turn-Verein Hall, at 2 o'clock p.m. The Turners, in connection with the Eintracht Club, escorted the cortege to the burial ground, where a very appropriate address was delivered by Chas. GRUNSKY, Esq. In the course of the address Mr. GRUNSKY stated that the deceased contracted the disease of which he died at the great fire in Jackson, Amador county, last spring. Mr. D. was an efficient and energetic fireman, and in his eagerness to stay the conflagration and save the property of others, he received injuries which ultimately caused death. At the grave 2 songs appropriate to the occasion were sung by the Eintracht and the Turners together. The 2nd song was peculiarly solemn, and sung in such a pathetic strain that it brought moisture to many an eye. Mr. DUNKEL's brothers, who reside in the interior, but who were present, had been telegraphed that he had been taken suddenly ill, and but a short time elapsed before the tidings of his death were sent over the wires.
