My name is Nick Dunkerton (I'm not sure but I think we may have corresponded previously). Elizabeth Hill was my 4xgreat grandmother. Her husband was William Hill who died within a year or two (1850) of marrying Elizabeth Dunkerton. I've got the wedding certificate if you would like a copy. I also have a picture that I've been told by another family member is of Elizabeth Dunkerton. Eliza Ann on her birth certifcate was born16th feb 1847 (no father named). Did your eliza Ann marry William Lambert (On her wedding cert her name is Dunkerton, but lists William Hill as her father).

I was looking for info on William Dunkerton and Jane Boice Daughter Jane b abt 1823 West Pennard, who married James Hole in 1844 Somerset and had a daughter Ellen Hole b 1845 in West Pennard who married Charles Hoare and moved to Australia. Any help would be great.

Hi my motheres name was joan dunkerton born about 1922 her husband wwas arthur roy seer her mothers maiden name was coucil her mothers maiden name was pembrige.I belive my mothers father died when he was about 34 in wales like my mother. I believe there was a morgan somewhere in the family and also a link to the north of england but most of the family came fron monmouthshire can any one tell me about my ancesters please

Re my earlier message. I have made an error in confusing two Eliza Dunkerton -s born in West Pennard / Shepton Mallet,Som around 1848. I now know that Elizabeth Hill was not my Gt Grandma's mother. Her mother and father were George Dunkerton , b. 1811, and Elizabeth, b. 1811.

Hi, My name is Ted Jones of Paignton Devon. My Great Grandmother was Eliza Ann Dunkerton who was born 1848 in Septon Mallett. Her Mother was Elizabeth Hill , born 1811, West Pennard. I can't trace her husband as yet, but obviously, he was a Dunkerton. Please let me know if you would like further info. I believe I could open up my family treet to you, Regarsd Ted

i am researching the Boyce / boice family of ditcheat.
my grt grt grt grandfather was edward boice born abt 1794 in ditcheat somerset england.
I dont know if jane boice was a sister or relative of edward boice. do you have anything else that could help me.
I dont know edwards parentage although i know a few children one of whom was Ann Boice who married in early 1830's in ditcheat and my grt grt grandfather william Boice 1816 of ditcheat who married jane walker born abt 1822 of west pennard.
Some of the family moved to south wales although the name changed from Boice to Boyce around the 1830 / 1850 s.

my grandfather william cox was born in ringwood hightown on his grandfather also a william cox's farm in 1836 dont know his father but think it was also william. His grandfather was married to a frances dunkerton. grandfather married a beatrice gordge but where she came from we think Dorset.

Hi ann have now traced my grandfather william cox born 1878 ringwood hants. His father william cox had father william cox married to frances dunkerton in ringwood william born 1823 frances dunkerton 1827 married 1837 all in ringwood. regards pat

I am researching anyone with the surname Xerxes. This was the name of my great grandmother and have managed to get back to Moses Xerxes in Hampshire in 1766. Does anyone have any knowledge of William Xerxes who married Sarah and had children baptised in St James Westminster between 1770 and 1800?

In my database I have a William Cox Dunkerton baptised in West Pennard, Somerset, England in May 1812. He was the son of William and Sarah. I have no mariage for them nor have I any further children. Could Sarah have been a Cox?

my grandfather william frederick cox had the name dunkerton cox he did not pass on the dunkerton to his children, my father cesil james cox being one. My father was born in west moores but I cannot trace where my grandfather came from I notice many dunkertons came from somerset. He married my grandmother beatrice gordge.

my father is cecil james cox his father was william frederick dunkerton cox, he dropped the cox after marriage to my grandmother beatrice gordge. I cannot find out where he came from his children were born in west moores dorset.

my name is pat I was a cox before I married My father was cecil cox and his father William cox who also used his surname as dunkerton cox but droped the dunkerton on his childrens birth certificate he married a beatrice gorge. We believe he came from somerset although he lived in dorset where my father was born I cannot fined records of their marriage or his birth in any census my dad was born in 1919 in west moores dorset

Are you familiar with the History of Trumbull County, written about 1890-1900, and the article regarding George? I'll be happy to transcribe it in its entirety if you do not have it, but it states that he was born Somersetshire October 3, 1842. "his parents were William and Kesiah (Dunkerton) Dunkerton. He was united in marriage January 10, 1867, to Eliza N. Green, born March 15, 1842, a daughter of Abram and Jane (Dunkerton) Green." It goes on to list all children.

I've been trying to make a link to George or any of the Dunkertons in the Trumbull area to my only Dunkerton in my tree, MARY DUNKERTON, married THOMAS COOK. Their son HENRY COOK married MARY FENTOn. Their son, CHARLES F. COOK b.2/1869 d. 1946, married MARY EVA VENN, daughter of Noah Venn & Annie Creighton. I have the Venn family, also from Somerset, back to the late 1500s.

William is a cousin(we think) of James and Sarah, and we think that William and Jane had a daughter Kazia, baptized Dec. 25, 1819 in West Pennard. If this is familiar feel free to E-mail me at rossmjones@home.com.
