I am trying to find the parentage of William Dunn, born about 1817 most likely in Western PA. The first definite record I have of him being in what is now Blair County... is a marriage record from 1836 to Mary McCloskey. He married a second time in 1850 and I believe a third time as well. He ended up having several children to different wives. I know he was Catholic when he married Mary McCloskey (St. Patrick's Church in Newry, PA is where the marriage was recorded), but am unable to find any church or civic records of him prior to 1836. I believe he is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery (I also believe he died sometime in the early 1900's... possibly 1905). If anyone has any information on him, I would greatly appreciate it, and would be willing to give you any information I have on him...
