Patrick D. Dunnigan was born in County Kerry, Ireland in 1817. He moved to Washington, D. C. where he spent a number of years. There he married a Mary Quill. They moved to Canada possibly around 1867/68 and settled in what was South Algona, now known as Cormac, Ontario They had 5 sons and 3 daughters. One of those sons was my grandfather, Patrick, named after him as in the Irish tradition. 1st son named after fathers, father, 2nd son named after wifes father and third son after his father. He died in 1913 at the age of 92.

He must have been around 47 when he lived in D.C. as his obituary said he moved to Canada approx. 45 years ago.

Any Quill's have any story's of their grandmothers sisters moving to Canada etc. Any other Dunnigans from County Kerry moving to D.C. around 1865-68.
I'm guessing some of those children may have been born in D.C. Only guessing.
