Any Updates

There have not been many updates since around 2002 to this thread. I was wondering if any findings had been made to the original Dunno's. Again.. I am Kyle Dunno son of Jerry Dunno originally from Columbus, OH area. I am currently finishing my master's degree at Clemson University (Clemson, SC). I married a little over two years ago, and we are trying to find some information on the origins of the name. Any progress that has been made would be very helpful. Hope that all are doing well and if you happen to come across this thread drop me a line at kddunno@clemson.edu to update me with any information. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello Dunno's!

I am the oldest son of Jerry Dunno (South Carolina), and I got bored at Clemson and decided to search around. I saw this so I thought that might as well leave a message! Probably don't know anyone, but you might know my dad and/or grandpa Glenn Dunno. Well, I'm out!

Nice hearing from you again. Nice talking to your son also,he seems like a fine fellow. I'm sure you are part of the Dunno's I am researching also. I am sure we are all related, but I can not connect the two sides yet. I am in Chicago, but was born and raised near Van Wert, Ohio. About 50% of the Dunno's are in that area. I am sure there are some in Dayton. I am not sure who you meet there. How young of a lady was she? First name? When. I had some cousins there in about 1975 through 1985 maybe. Iam in communication with Dunno's in Ohio (mostly), in Texas, in California, and in Florida. Others in Indiana, Alaska, Louisiana and in Michigan can all be traced to the families in the first list of states. The eldest on my side (my great grandfather), Alexander Dunno is (from census records) Canadian born stating that his Father was born in England. The Census I have is 1880 in Blackford County, Indiana. On the Columbus side I have a 1920 Census of John William Dunno of the Columbus (Delaware, OH) area. As yet no luck connecting them. Alexander is old enough to be the Father of John William. Some day I will make the connection. I had you figured for part of the Texas group, Harry Dunno, son of John or maybe Joseph or George. You can help me with that one. John William was said to have two chidren at home under ten when he died in his 90's. I look forward to hearing from you again. My direct email is at 71332.3336@compuserve.com Bye!

Hello Jerry, Long time since we communicated. I am still working on connecting the dots and Iam making slow but sure progress. There are two seperate groups I am working on (mine and yours) of which I have many names and numbers from your side. I have talked to many of them, but still unable to connect. Most of my side is in the Van Wert, Ohio with roots also in Indiana. Most of your side that I have located has all originated in Ohio (just back to 1860's so far). I make you for being Buddy - Your Aunt Esther wants you to give her a call. She is such a nice person. I have talked to her several times. Some day I would like to meet you and many more on your side. I have talked to a bunch and hope to greet them with a link to the families. I am getting close!! Buy for now. Send me a note, I will answer what I can. Call Aunt Esther. Tom

Thanks for calling, my son let me know on my way back from my older sons baseball game. I am not from South Carolina, living here with the job, working in Augusta, Ga., I was born and raised outside Columbus, Ohio...so I am, I would think, part of the Ohio Clan, though I have met a young lady, with the last name of Dunno, that came from Dayton, Ohio, that I know nothing about, but what little bit she and I have talked. I got your number, I will contact you, but it might be cheaper on the net, as I am sure that we could compare notes for hours, phone time......
