I just found in the 1880 US Census records the closest thing to an accurate birthdate for Edna Wallace-Hopper that I have found so far - 1872.

Edna Wallace was a major broadway star and Floradora was one of her biggest hits. She was extremely famous in the early decades of the century and remained famous throughout her life through her business success.
