Beth,
It is the same Susan Dunsmuir!!! She was actually one of 13 children one of her brothers was James Little Dunsmuir - my great grandfather, born in 1873. They were:

John b.11 March 1867
Lucy b. 24 June 1869
Walter b. 7 July 1871 d. 14 October 1875 (4 years)
James Little b.8 May 1873
Jane b. 1875
Margaret b.20 May 1877
David b. 19 July 1879
Mary Ann b. 6 December 1882
Agnes Livingston Cowan Little b. 3 December 1885
Janet Johnstone b. 25 March1888
Susan b. 23 May 1890
Christina b. 21 August 1891
Walter b. 25 June 1893

You will note 2 Walters - this is common if a child dies they name another child with the same name.

So, you can see that we are related, and I have a more extensive tree if you are interested, going back to 1750s. E-mail me on elaine@dunsmuir2000.freeserve.co.uk

Hi Elaine. Yes it is me. I was surprised to see your name on the web site. I don't spend that much time on the net, so I really found the Dunsmuir board by accident. When I got the hard copy from your Aunt Peggy, I added it into my Family tree file. One time I did try to get some information on the net, I tried to get some dates for the generation before you Granfather's (David) My Uncle Dave. There seemed to be about 14 siblings. No wonder it's so hard to get the dates. If you have anymore information, I would appreciate it.
I started a new job with my company last week, and it involves a lot of training, so I don't think that I will get much time to search for a while.
I think that's all for now. Say hi to you Mum for me. It was good to see her when we were back home in the Summer. I will be talking to your Aunt Peggy on the week end, and I will tell her that you e-mailed me. She gave us a bit of a shock Tuesday, but she said that she is feeling OK. Well I think that is all for now. Nice talking to you. Your big Cousin, Jim.

They are my maternal Grandparents.
The main family names are David, Robert and John with one Martin.
Does anyone recognise these names?

Regards
Alex

My Paternal Grandmother was a DUNSMUIR. Born in Scotland Sept 1875/Died in Pennsylvania November 1961. Haven't been able to find anything additional that I can hang my hat on but in going through Census info, I believe her Father's name MAY have been James. Sorry I can't report any more at this time but if I stumble upon anything, I will provide a follow-up.
