In response to your Post regarding the Dupont Families of Orangeburg, SC area, my Great Grandmother was named Frances Dupont and her father was named Jacob G Dupont his mother was "Fannie" his father's name is unknown to me, according to US Census Jacob G DuPont was Mulatto and his mother was a Free Black Woman.
