Amanda Mae Durbin, b Oct 7, 1879 in Old Landing, Estill Co KY, daughter of Josesph Edward and Mary Catherine Reynolds Durbin. Amanda had 7 siblings; Louanna Durbin (x Moss), Joseph Edward Durbin, Walker Durbin, Ambrose Marion ("Bud" or "Blue") Durbin, Mary Catherine "Katie" Durbin (x Simpson), Arthur Durbin and Nettie Durbin (x Dillon).
Amanda first married Amos Dillon, son of Israel B and Elizabeth Jane Fitch Dillon (Dillin). Amanda and Amos had 3 children, a fourth (Jack Dillin) was born before their marriage and adopted by Amos.
Amanda and Amos divorced about 1914 and Amanda remarried Charles B Simpson of NE about 6 months later. Charlies was the brother of Amanda's sister's (Mary Catherine "Katie") husband James Simpson. Amanda died Feb 8, 1942 in Gillette, WY.
Records collected indicate that Amanda's youngest sister Nettie married a son of Amos Dillon from his first marriage , John Casteel Dillon (again, also Dillin). Nettie passed away at before reaching her 20's, possibly in childbirth.
The Dillon (Dillin)and Simpson families both resided in NE.
