My grandfather was Charles Durrah in Bromley, Kentucky.
His wife was Anna, I think he had three daughters Evelyn (my mother), Annie (sometimes known by another first name) and Mary (now Mary Mueller of Covington, KY.
I am seeking a sister, a child that my mother had out of wedlock in October of 1956 or 57. I think her birth name was Penelope Durrah.

Hi Mary,
My grandfather (my mother's father) was Charles B. Durrah, and everyone called him "Buddy". He died in the early to mid 60's. As far as I know, he had 3 daughters, my mom, Evelyn was the youngest, her sister Mary was middle, and the oldest was Annie. To my knowledge, Annie is still living somewhere in northern Kentucky. She is mentally handicapped and quite childlike, and has no fingers due to a tradegy at a very young age. I think Mary had some daughters, but I'm not sure. Their mom's name was Anna. That's about all the information I know about them. Mom grew up in Bromley, KY. She (Mom) was born in 1930, and passed away in 1989. My Father is name charlie Durrah and his father was name charles Durrah,my father is very ill right now and i am trying to find his relatives, he was an only child his mother was name Janie Andrews, but she has passed away, his father was name charles and his father had three brothers living in spartinburg north carolina their names were Dave, luke and John, his grandmother was name Lilly Durrah i do know pof some cousins, one name Nane,who is still living and is a preacher, also there was Lola bell, who passed away and she had about fourteen kids, i can remember one of her girls name Dollie mae, so if any of these people seem familia please email me back,i'm very instered to find my daddys people.Thanks in advance

Hi. My mother was born Evelyn Mae Durrah, she had 2 sisters, Annie and Mary. Her mother was Anna E. Durrah, and her father was Charlie B. Durrah. If anyone has any link to these people, I'd love to hear from you.

I'm looking for information on James W. Durrah (b.1822 in Nova Scotia) who married Mary _____ (b. 1838 in Maine). Their children are James H. (abt 1859 Maine), Alice M. (abt 1868 Massachusetts), and Martha A. (abt 1870 Massachusetts). He was possible a mariner. Any information would be helpful.

try NSMMD.COM if person is deceased. theres two that i came across, george durrah b.1841-d.1925 married to mary leblacc or george rufus durrah sr b.1917-d.1998 married to dorothy. george's parents were pell and rosa durrah hope this helps. my mothers maiden name is durrah out of souh carolina.

Hannah Durrah married Peter Furrow on Nov. 21, 1771 at Westfield, MA. Hannah Durrah was from CT. This Furrow family in MA. seemed to marry women from CT. from towns like Hartford, Farmington, Newington, Granby, and Windsor...all towns surrounding Hartford, CT. Durrah can be spelled Darrah also. Check out Hastings County in Ontario. My great grandfather Thomas Doyle married Margaret Darrah. Other Darrah's in the Hastings Cty area were Samuel William. I've also found the name listed with the Loyalist. Hope this helps. Mary Callaghan
