DNA test results on Derryberry - Durrenberger comparison resulted in 25 of 25 like markers for Alsace Durrenbergers, 24 of 25 markers for Texas Durrenbergers, 12 of 12 markers for Terryberry and only 8 markers of 25 for Minnesota Durrenbergers. Conclusion (mine): looks pretty likely that Derryberrys descend from the Durrenberger family in Mossis Co., NJ in the early 1700s, which one not yet proven. There appears to be some of the same family who came later and to different posts than the NJ Durrenbergers. Expert genealogists might have a different opinion. The full mystery remains yet to be solved.
