Christiana Dusky (or Duskey) Wilkinson ~ 1794 OH - 1871 IN

This is an update to a previous thread from many years ago. I anticipate traveling to Cincinnati this summer for further research on this line.

Note...her memorial has been replaced as indicated on Find A Grave.

CHRISTIANA A.1 DUSKEY was born on Feb 19, 1794 in Ohio. She died on Jun 01, 1871 in Warrick County, Indiana. She married JOHN WILKINSON on Dec 18, 1822 in Hamilton County, Ohio by D.Hayden, Minister of the Gospel. He was born on Dec 06, 1790 in New Jersey. He died on Apr 04,1865 in Socialville, Warren County, Ohio.

Notes for Christiana A. Duskey:
1870 census ~ Rockport, Indiana (Spencer County)
This states "Cynthia" was born in 1800 which is off by several years according to my records. She is residing with her two daughters; Sarah Wilkinson (was Fortney in John's will of 1865), age 46 is a milliner. The value of her real
estate is $1,700 and value of personal property $500. Pheby C. Wilkinson, age 38 is a milliner. All born in Ohio

John Wilkinson and Christiana A. Duskey had the following children:

i. SARAH A.2 WILKINSON was born on Sep 13, 1823. She died on Dec 27, 1878 in Princeton, Gibson County, Indiana (while visiting her brother George).
ii. UNKNOWN WILKINSON was born between 1825-1830. He died before 1850.
iii. MARGARET WILKINSON was born in 1828 in Ohio. She died before 1881 (possibly for she didn't sign the sale of property in 1881).
iv. PHOEBE CATHERINE WILKINSON was born on Sep 10, 1832 in Ohio. She died on Aug 27, 1910 in New Albany, Floyd County, Indiana.
v. WILLIAM H. WILKINSON was born on Oct 10, 1834 in Ohio. He died on May 19, 1906 in Spencer County, Indiana.
vi. GEORGE HENRY WILKINSON was born on Oct 25, 1837 in Warren County, Ohio. He died on Dec 24, 1918 in Princeton, Gibson County, Indiana.
Re: George Duskey, B 1802 Pennslyvania

George was a Justice of the Peace who married people. I don't think he was a minister.
There were other Duskeys in Meigs OH: Eleanor or Ellen who married Anson Ingels. Her father was John Duskey of Allegheny PA, Mason WV and Meigs OH. I just heard from the Mason County Clerk there is no evidence he ever owned property or left any paper trail they know about.
Probably George was also the brother of Daniel Duskey of Allegheny PA, Lewis VA Gilmer VA and Calhoun WV.
Several people are interested in this family.
Please email me personally or post. Yes it's intolerable not to know anything before 1800!

My natural father was Leon Duskey, born in Wausau, WI around 1912. His father was Jacob Duskey (mother Eva Woitkowicz) who were married in 1878 in Pilsno, which was then in Austria. They listed their nationality as Austrian and German. That is now Poland.
I do not know when they came to the US or the connection between Michael and the Wisconsin family. I do know the longest ski run on Rib Mountain in Wausau is named the Duskey run.
