I believe George born 1801 was my 3x Grt.Grandfather marr.Margaret Thomson on 8 July 1827 Ferryport,there daughter Isabella b.1836 marr. Alexander Wyllie 1858 Ferryport.
Do you recognise these names? if so we may have a connection.

Can anyone help with a look up please. Looking for further information prior to Scotland 1841 census on William Dutch dob 1800 (seaman) who married Catherine ? dob 1804. They had a son James Dutch dob 1825 who married Helen ?.

I am descended from the Ferry Port on Craig, Fife, Dutches. George Dutch (born 6 March 1801) was my GG Grandfather and George Dutch before him (born 11 May 1760)
my GGG Grandfather. I have information on that line - from memory two brothers came out to NZ (maybe at different times) One on Lady Edigia - I'll have to look it up. If you think this is your line let me know

GEORGE W. DUTCH

George W. Dutch, 69, of 67 Whittemore street, Tewksbury, died at the Tewksbury State hospital last night after a long illness. Born in West Kennebunk, Me., on May 7, 1886, he was a resident of Tewksbury for th epast 40 years and was employed as a carpenter with a local construction firm. He was a member of the Lodi, Calif., chapter, Fraternal Order of Eagles,No. 848. In addition to hsi wife, Emma G. (Dailey), he is survived by a sister, mrs. Alice Barker of Idyllwild, Calif.; a brother, Percy J. Dutch of West Kennebunk, Me.; and several nieces and nephews.

Hi There,

I read your email from 2001 regarding William Hodgkins (b. 1590). I have been doing some research but can't verify the name of his wife. I've heard mentions of Sarah Cushman and Ann Hynes as well as Anne Winthrop - but I think there may be some confusion between William Hodgkins who came to Ipswich and William Hoskins of Plymouth. Wondering if anyone has been able to pin down who he (William Hodgkins) really was married to.

Also, I'm interested to hear about him being an indentured servant - can you tell me how you found that out? And have you had any more news on the ship on which he arrived?

I live in England and I had a geneologist here look at the Worcestershire archives and she verified that he was born and christened in Holt in 1590 Worcestershire and that his father was Richard Hodgkins and his sister was Elizabeth (she was also christened in Holt, and I suspect she may have become Elizabeth Palmer). But unfortunately there are no Worcestershire records for his father, Richard, so that ended my research.

Any new information you could provide would be much appreciated. (I'm descended from the branch of the family who went to Hancock/Lamoine, Maine.)

Louisa and Joseph Dutch - Marylebone, London

I am trying to trace Louisa Dutch, born 1846 to 1848 in England. Her father is Joseph Dutch, a gardener, who was recorded on Louisa's marriage certificate as deceased in Feb 1872. (She married Patrick O'Connell born in Ireland, son of Patrick, a farmer.)

So far I have not found either of them on the 1871 census or a record of Joseph's marriage or death, or Louisa's birth.

Any help appreciated.

My grandfather, John Stephan Dutch, was married to Helen. I do not know her maiden name. Their children were John Andrew (my father), James and Polly. My father died about two a half years ago. Unfortuantely my father passed away before I was able to get any more information concerning our family.

I am resdearching a John Dutch from the meadville area. He had sisters Anna Kovel and Mary Dzambik / Rapp. They all lived in the Punxy area in the early 1900's. Please contact me. In the 1920 census John is listed in Crawford county at age 43. His wife Anna, children Anna, Mary, Johana, Elizabeth, Veromila, John, Evelin. In 1910 census they are in Conifer, Beaver Twp., Jefferson County, Pa, list beside my G-Grandfather John Dutch. The two John's are cousins, because Anna Kovel was known to be his cousin. Also relatives in Homestead and Trenton N.J. one was the Mayor Of Trenton in the 1940's.

Hello Kim. My grandfather was John S. Dutch formerly of Meadville, Pennsylvania. My wife and I were doing some Google searches on family names and we came across your posting at Ancestry.com. If you would like, you can email me. I didn't really grow up getting to know much of my dad's family. I didn't meet Aunt Polly until 2 years ago at my dad's funeral and his funeral was the first time I had seen uncle Jim since I was child.

I have a David Thom Dutch, born Montrose, Angus scotland, on 11 Jan 1870. Father Alexander Dutch, Mother Susan McIntosh.
They are in the 1896 and 1897 New Zealand electoral rolls for Bay of Islands. Were living at Waimamaku.
David was the best man for my grandfather, Charles William Dunn when he married Amelia Kate Rhodes in Dec 1896. I am looking to see if any descendants have any info on my grandfather, and what boat either family came out on.

She was 43 years old and the daughter of William Dutch (Nash County, NC) and Hattie E. Williams (Clark County, VA) and the sister of J. T. Dutch (New York). She was interred in Berryville, Virginia.

I am descended from Esther Hester DUTCH and Samuel ELWELL. Esther and her daughter-in-law's mother Rachel VINSON (VARNEY) were accused during the Salem Witch trials. If any of you are also researching Esther DUTCH's line I can give you a little more info on that.

Does anyone know Osmond DUTCH's parents' info and Grace PRATT's grandparents' information? I only have a few names, no dates or places.

Here is the only info I have on Osmond DUTCH's parents and Grace PRATT's parents (I don't have anything further back than them):

Osmond DUTCH's father was Robert DUTCH, born in Bridport, Dorset, England. He died in Bridport, Dorset, England on 30 May 1606. I don't have a name or any other info on his wife/Osmond's mother.

Grace PRATT's parents were Bennett PRATT and Ann PRIMROSE. Bennett PRATT was born in 1576. Ann PRIMROSE lived from 1580 to 1609.

That's all I have so far.

At the time of his death he was living in Panama City, Fl., but i know he lived in Pa. for years so figure his obit will be in one of the papers there. I am looking for this because I was his granddaughter who was given up for adoption. I'm trying to locate members of the family..
