FT. PIERCE, FL: Bernard E. Dutro, 85, died September 20, 2011 in Ft. Pierce, Florida.

Mr. Dutro was born in Zanesville, Ohio and moved to Ft. Pierce in 1978.

He was the Director of Engineering at a hospital prior to retirement. He proudly served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Zanesville, Ohio for over 50 years.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Brenda Joy Dutro of Ft. Pierce, FL; sons, Larry Dutro of Ft. Pierce, FL and John Jay (Darla) Flinn of Weston, FL; daughters, Christy Chastain of Morrow, GA and Rhonda (Donald) Yongue of Port St. Lucie, FL; ten grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Bernard Dutro, Jr.

Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 6:00 p.m. at Haisley Funeral Home.
A service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will follow at White City Cemetery with Military Honors.
Arrangements are under the direction of Haisley Funeral & Cremation Service.

I an new to researching this family line and I have a question regarding the spelling of the Kriske / Krischke name. I have seen it spelled both ways but on my family tree page I have it as Kriske. Can you clear up this question?

Glenn McAnarney and I have been working together on this for over 10 years. Daniel Dutro (1848-1918)is my great grandfather and Mathias Dutro (1826-1857) is my great-great grandfather. Caroline McBurney (1848-1927) is Daniel Dutro's wife. She is my great grandmother and Glenn McAnarney's relative.
The main issue remains. We are looking for definitive proof that Daniel Dutro and Sophia Young are the parents of Mathias Dutro. All of our leads point to them as the parents at this time - but we are looking for documentation. - Dan Dutro

I am looking for information on and Elmore and Luzanna Bell Dutro. Elmore was b. 9 Dec. 1826 in Muskingum Co., Ohio and d. in 1903 in Morgan Co., Ohio.
He was m. 9 Aug. 1849 in Muskinghum, Ohio to Luzanna (Louise Ann) Bell who was b. 25 July 1831 and d. 17 Mar. 1892.
Their children were: David S., Sarah Matilda, Margaret, Martin, Leander, Alice, Mathias, and Austin Vernon. Thank you in advance.

- Mathias married Emily Ellen LONGSHORE on Dec 24, 1846 in Harrison Township, Muskingum County, Ohio.
- Emily Longshore was born on November 20th, 1848 in Ohio.

I would also like to know more about George Dutro, his ancestors & descendants.

I have an undocumented claim that George's wife was named Susan Miller.
I also have an undocumented list of 12 of their children, with some spouses, and a note that there were more than 12 children.

My mistake, "J" (my cousin, I believe), posted my grandfather's name correctly. Myrle's husband was Robert Lee (my namesake).

Myrle was my paternal grandmother, married to Thomas (I beleive) Kriske. Two sons, Russell (my father) and Hubert ("Bud"). Moved to Glendale CA, 1930's. My grandfather died in Illinois before they moved, as I recall family stories being told.

When I was quite young (1950's), I remember Gramma Kriske making annual pilgrimages to Spokane where, I believe "Duttie" (Ida Dutro), her mother died.

Myrle alternated living with either of her 2 sons in Burbank, CA until Bud moved to Las Vegas in the '60s. She returned to Glendale when he died. I believe she was over 100 when she passed.

My father, Russell, died in 1995.

Hope that fills in some pages for you.
