I came across your e-mail today, 11 yrs. later. Loy Tidwell Dykes was my grandfather, Hazel Dykes my mother, and Nellie Gray was my GreatAunt. She did have another full blood brother, the baby, Jack Burk Dykes. He fell off a ship in Holland in 1948 at the age of 42. They were very close and as far as I ever knew growing up, it was just them two. They never mentioned having all those half siblings. I don't know why. They moved across the street from each other in the mid 60's and lived the rest of their lives there. I always thought Aunt Nell was the female version of Papa D. They were very close.
