I don't believe they originally settled in the Scrivelsby area. Henry Dymmok, (Sir John's grandfather) was active in the Oxford area. He was Bailiff of North Gate area, etc. He married Dionsia DePlessis, and I assume her dowry included lands, etc in Hook Norton, etc. John Dymmok & Felicia (Sir John's father) may have been in Lincolnshire. They could have been in Lincolnshire before Sir John married Margaret Ludlowe. There is a burial ground in Horncastle, Mareham-le-Hill, where there are Dymmoks buried in the early 1300's.
