      <description>MUSCATINE, Iowa - Steven R. Dyre, 65, Muscatine, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2010, at All-American Care.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Mr. Dyre was born April 29, 1945, in Mason City, the son of Elmer Dyre and Bettie Lou Winslow.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;He was employed by Chicago &amp;amp; North Western Railway Company, in Mason City for several years.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;He was a wonderful father and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;In his life he was a high diver, a gymnast, a race car driver, and a golden glove boxer.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;He had a love for music, playing the organ in a local band and enjoying the music of the Beatles. He was passionate about cars and his Corvette was his pride and joy.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;He is survived by his mother, Bettie Lou Winslow; two children, Michelle McCullough and husband, Kevin of Muscatine, and Richard Dyre; five grandchildren, Dustin Olinger, Tauni Dyre, Michael Miller, Maleah Miller, and Peyton Tucker; a great-grandchild, James Dean Dyre; and three brothers, Barry Dyre and wife, Sue of Gibbon, Minn., Mark Dyre and wife, Linda of New Brighton, Minn., and Tom Dyre.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Dyre; stepfather, Ford Winslow; and a son, Troy.</description>
