Dear Dziuk researchers,
I also am a member of this family, although my immediate line did not go to Texas but rather stayed in Poland and in fact I was the immigrant. I don't know if you had figured out your village of origin, yet but Johann Dziuk, the first of the Texan Dziuks was my 3rd great grand uncle. He settled in Panna maria. His sister Catharina was my 3rd ggmother. Johann was born in Koschentin in 1806 on the 6th of Jul. I have this family back into the 1600's. the records are now filmed and can be found at the LDS catalog on-line. They are both the parishes of Koschentin and Sadow. There are many Dziuks there and in the very close villages. But the one that started the Panna Maria clan is from Koschentin, for sure. Sonja
