I am hoping to find parents for Mary and thus possible parents for Micajah Dooley. My Dooley clan also lived in Henry County, Iowa and travled, I believe with the Eachus Clan from Iowa to California. My ggg grandfather has a couple of Eachus boys living with him in the 1870 (I think?) census and my gg grandfather's sister even marries an Eachus (her possible cousin?). This is why I feel Mary Dooley Eachus and Micajah Dooley may have been sister and brother.

My wife's gg grandmother, Belle Eachus, who was born in Iowa, was the gg granddaughter of a Samuel Eachus and Mary Dooley. According to the 1880 US Federal Census for their son William A. Eachus, Samuel was born in Pennsylvania and Mary was born in Maryland. (c.f. http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Search/Census/household_reco...). I was looking for a Funeral Notice of a G/Aunt when I came across this notice for Louis Eachus. I am not a relative.

Eachus- Dec. 3, Louis, late of 1335 SW 10th; beloved father of Betty Lou, brother of Claire B. Scott. Friends invited to attend funeral services Saturday, 10 AM, at the Conservatory Chapel of A.J. Rose & Son, SE 6th and Alder. Concluding services Lincoln Memorial Park.

Elizabeth Eachus born 1847 in Thornbury, PA

I am looking for any further information on an Elizabeth Eachus. She was born 05 Nov 1847 in Thornbury, Pa. She married Joseph Garrett Roberts in East Marlborough Township on 12 Dec 1877.
On 25 Aug 1878 she gave birth to her only child, Ellen Roberts. Less than one year later, on 27 Jul 1880, she died in East Marlborough Township. I have no information on the cause of death or anything else.

Joseph Franklin Eachus born 10-25-1893 and died 10-08-1973. He's buried at the Zion Hill cemetery in Coal Grove, OH. I'm his gr-gr- grandaughter...of his first wife Bessie Mae Chatfield. After she died he later married Florence Deem. I have a little more info if you still need it. Just let me know. Thanks.

Thank you, Brian, for your reply, However, when I was in Chester County this summer, I lucked out to find the death registration of Susan Townsend, b. 1783, d. Apr 20 1853, daughter of William and Mary Eachus., buried in Grove Cemetery, West Whiteland Twp. Unfortunately, I cannot find any William Eachus with wife Mary who had a daughter Susan/ Susanna. Death registration states she was b. "in the vicinity of Pikeland Charlestown" (wherever that is).

Joseph Eaches married Florence Deem in Lawrence County, Ohio. Florence was his second wife. I do not know who his first wife was. He had twins, Mary Marie, from his first wife. Joesph Eachus born late 1870 early 1880 died 1969 Of Coal Grove Ohio, I know he had sister whose name was Pearl. This is my great grandfather, he always called him self a red haired Irishman. My grandmother his daughter knew no family history. I'm trying to locate an origin for the surname Eachus, so that I may at least know in what direction to search.

First of all, I know this is not the accepted way of spelling the name, but there have been quite a few people in Hillsdale that use this spelling.

George and Nancy are by ggrandparents. No information on George other than my grandmother said she was 10 years old when he died (1890).

Nancy was born in Ohio (Canton area), May 28, 1862 and died in Jackson, MI on November 6, 1945. Her family was originally from Pennsylvania.

Julia (Gertie) Gertrude Smith, b Mar 28, 1880, d Apr 20, 1969 (my grandmother).
Fred (Chub) Smith, b Nov. 15, 1886, d Mar. 16, 1968.
George (Dutch) H. Smith, b Mar 24, 1891, d Dec. 26, 1969.

Nancy married Benjamin Mullin on May 9, 1893. They adopted three girls, Bernice, Daisy and Katheleen. Ben b Oct. 31, 1872, d Mar. 29, 1957.

I would appreciate any information on parents and siblings of George and Nancy.

On my mother's side, my great-great grandmother was
born Rebecca Eachus, married James Lavery in the
Mid-1800s. On a visit 2002 to Media, Pa to my
mother's cousins, one cousin brought a file of old
family materials...I had expected to do a little research,
however this was a bonus... I have a copy of a letter
to Rebecca Eachus when a cousin(?) was posted in the
"Hateful hills of Pittsburgh" (signed "Margaret
Clark" February 5 1843...I also have naturalization paper
(or citizenship) for James Lavery dated 1843 officially, but showing emigrated from Ireland 1838...(5 years would make
sense). Don't know if these Eachus' have anything to do ]
with yours, but the County is certainly correct..
Also have photocopy of marriage license from 1848.

For some reason, amongst this and other obvious family
connected material, there was a "bookplate"(print) of the
"Res. of Richard Chown" Lima, Delaware Co, PA"
no-one as been able to relate just who or how the Chown's
would figure into our family...

Other names in conjunction with the Eachus are
Lavery, Evans & Hughes.

I am looking for Good Hume Eachus who was married to Faith Sittkus. She born Feb 13, 1910. I think they may be buried in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Paul MN.. Any information would greatly appreciated. They did not have have any children.

I have an attendance list on a funeral in 1950 (California). It lists a Verda Eachus. She's listed on the "relatives" page and I'm trying to figure out how she ties into the family.

Anyone know of an Eachus that married a Verda? From the California death index she was born in Oklahoma and lived from 1906-1990.

I have just uploaded to WorldConnect this 5th generation (Robert, John, William, John) son. William and Susanna's descendents that I have been able to find from two of their sons, Mordecai (b.1832) and William C. (b .1836).

Please note that there are no children named Elizabeth, Kate or Levis for this couple as reported elsewhere on the internet. These three offspring had parents of John and Sarah in the same area at the same time.

Jackson Eachus would be my first cousin, as his mother, Irene Rogers Eachus ( I am assuming she was married to Jackson's father) and my mother, Rose Nell Rogers were sisters. His mother later married a Grimes. Jackson was living with his grandparents in Oxford, Oh. per the 1920 and 1930 census. What happened to him, who did he marry, any children, etc.. Trying to work on my familly tree and got stopped on this one. Can anyone help?

There are places on the internet that carry her birth and death dates as: 2 Jul 1808 - 14 Jan 1896
Please note she died in 1869 (NOT 1896) - Susanna (MOSTELLER) EACHUS was not listed in the 1870 and 1880 census enumerations with her husband. Historical Society and pics of her tombstone verify this date. Thanks.
