violet 1902, clarence 1903, arthur 1905, winifred sep 1906, stanley dec 1906 could you tell me the mother of those children and if the dates for the last two are wright as there is three months apart and there is eacott in this family tree may help you

That Albert Edward is the one I am interested in. He later had one son Lionel, amd I am hoping to find some descendants.

Therewere 204 Ecketts in England in 1901, most living around London.

There was an Albert E Eckett who was an undertakers clerk living in Edmonton. He was 20 years of age.

James Eacot b. 1750

I am a direct relative of the above, who married Sarah Tucker b. 1756 and had one daughter (my great, great, great, great grandmother) Mary Eacot b. 1783 in Bratton, Wiltshire. Mary married John Stiles b. 1786 in Bratton, and the Stiles surname was carried down to my paternal grandmother.

I would be extremely grateful for any information that anybody has on who the parents of James were so I can further my research along that line.

There was a William John Eacott born 1878 Bandon HIll, surrey Surrey son of Isac and Eliz. who died in Vancouver BC in 1924.
There was a William J. born in Beddington Surrey in 1879 son of Issac and Eliz. ...Probably same person as above.

Also a William J. born about 1874 in London. I have nothing more on him.
I have no other William J' or John in this time frame in my records.

I have an Elsie Kate EACOTT born Sth Wales 1895 and married William Frederick SMITH in Warminster. Arrived in Australia abt 1920 and died here 1982. Her parents were William EACOTT and Elizabeth CLIFFORD.

I'm not an Eacott i'm afraid but I was wondering if anyone had any extra info on Caroline Eacott, who married John Vincent 7 March 1860 in Warminster?
John Vincent's parents were William Vincent & Rebecca ______?.

Unfortunately I'm struggling to find out any more on this William bloke....thought maybe someone has something from your side?!!!

Chris, I know nothing about John Henry's family, you might check Lafayette Co. MO. that is where he married Thankful Ruth Hanna, my line, their children were John Henry born 1875 in Texas, William, Katie and Lily H. born 1872.

I have a record of Henry Eckett b, 1875 in St. Pancras Middlesex , sister Elizabeth b. 1876 also St. Pancras

they were children of

Henry Eckett b. 1843 St Pancras
and Elizabeth born Abt 1857 at Finchley Middlesex.

Tankfull or Thankfull appears in my records on the Eacotts . I think she was from PA (whitehall twp). You can check this out in the master index posted along with my website www.eacott.info
I think you will find her under Tankfell R. Hannah
Children Kate, Wm, John Henry Jr and Lily. John Henery Sr was born 1840 Whitehall Twp PA.

Chris, William Eacott and wife Sarah were famers in Westwood, Wilts. Children were James & Joseph. James stayed in Uk, while Joseph came to Tas in 1838. Married in 1851 in Tas.
William Eacott married Anne Watts in 1771, then Anne Phrias in 1779. That marriage produced a William born 1780 in Wilts, possibly Sutton Veny.

Trying to find any descendants of William Eacott who migrated to Canada in 1834 from Sutton Veny, Wiltshire, Eng. William may not have stayed in Canada. He may have gone on to America. Any leads????

I was very interested to read about the family bible and wonder how far the information it contains on the family roots goes back. My family (Eacott) have been in Australia since 1830. The first ancestor to come here was a Thomas Eacott and he came from Wiltshire although I don't think that was his county of birth. Although our name is spelt "EACOTT" it has always been pronounced as "Eckett/Ecutt/Ecott" depending on who is saying it. Apparently the name is Anglo Saxon and the "Ea" was pronounced as "E" as in weather. Look forward to hearing from you.

Well I think all Eacotts are related at some point. Mine came to Canada in the 1830's about the same time some went to Australia. I also was born in 1937....July.

Thank you so much for your interest and response. This is wonderful news. I have been looking for these children. I am determined now to obtain a copy of the Westwood Parish records and see if there were any more children and if I can discover Sarah's maiden name from a marriage record. My feelings are that Westwood is Sarah's home parish as William (husband) was born in Sutton Veny and there is no record of his marriage in Sutton Veny which means that they were married in the girl's parish which was the normal custom of the time - and still is today. He and Sarah did live in the parish of Sutton Veny (came back to William's home ground - also customary) and John, Sarah, Harriet and Thomas were christened there. I knew that there were other children from family folk lore which was that William had gone to America/Canada, and Joseph to Victoria. I only guessed that they might have been born in Westwood as I also found a Stephen christened there with parents William and Sarah. I have found records for a Joseph in Victoria, so learning that Joseph was in Tasmania has thrown me off track. Is it the same Joseph in both places? Are you related to this family in any way? and can you tell me more about Joseph? Look forward to hearing from you again.

Looking to contact descendants of Edward and Alice EACOTT who married in the parish of Sutton Veney, Wiltshire 3rd October 1763. Also the descendants of their son William EACOTT who married Sarah ?. Among the children of William and Sarah there was a William who immigrated to Canada (possibly went to America) in 1834. Thomas went to Australia in 1830, Joseph went to Australia about 1834. There were older children - John, Sarah and Harriett. Have most of the descendants of Thomas, but know very little about the others.
Daniel MYRICK (born in New York) married Anne Priscilla EACOTT (born Sutton Veney, Wiltshire, England) in Australia in 1843. They had 12 children in Australia then Daniel took his family back to America in 1867. Tracing all descendants of Daniel and Anne MYRICK.

Laura do you have any information on the ancestors of your John Henry EACOTT? I am an Eacott by birth. My gr gr grandfather (Thomas EACOTT) came to Australia in 1830. I have traced his family back to Sutton Veny and Westwood in Wiltshire, England. Thomas's parents were a William and Sarah and we have nine children that we have confirmed are theirs. Thomas's brother Joseph also came to Australia and we know there was another brother named William that went to America - but we can't find a family link.
