Hi Anita,

My name is Carmol Morley, my father was Joseph Alexander the youngest child of John Thomas Eade.

Last November I visited Lilydale. This homestead is no longer in the Eade family but the original building and "pumpkin shed" are still standing, in fact the current owners are slowly renovating the shed which was also where they sheared their sheep. There was only 2 shearing stations there as Lilydale was only a small concern as far as farms go.

There is another area where I presume George and Mary first settled as this is where the graves are but this is all National Park now and the gates were locked and we couldn't get in.

The turnoff for Lilydale was 15 kilometres from Booligal and you have to travel past one property before reaching the gates. These are locked if the owners are not home.

I here you are going to retype the book of Elsie Eade, this has copyright attached so be mindful of this.

There was a photo in Hillston library of the first home but when I visited last year it wasn't there. I too am confused and need to do more investigation into this matter.

Hope this helps,

Carmol
