My grandaddy William Gordon whom they called "Shorty" always told us a daring tale of his daddy's Thomas Jefferson Eads's sister, Nannie Eads;she was born approx.1871. When she was but a young woman and aged 16 she decided that she wanted to be a performer and so she ran away to join the circus our in California. With her she took the family bible and all the family history. She had a child out of wedlock and came bk at one point however, she had a son, we believe his fathers' last name was Richards or Richardson. We don't know what ever happened to her or the family bible. It had belonged to her mother Mary McGee who after Thomas Jefferson Eads died married a man from PA by the name of Weiss. We would love to get to know this side of the family if any one has any information on her and what happened to her it would be most appreciated! Or what happened to the Weiss family side. At one point one of the eads children tried to locate her children and ect after she had passed away and wanted to see the bible but they refused. It hurts the family still as we really just want to know about our heritage nothing more nothing less. Even to share stories and to get to know one another would be awesome and would make our ancestors proud! That is what love is all about.
We don't want any earthly goods just stories and copies of pics and to get to know one another....
Love to all our Ken!
