This census (ED 23-13, family #10) shows: John R. Eades, age 51, married, head of household, b. MO, estimated b. yr. 1889, residence in 1935, same house: Lucy Eades, 51, b. OK; Curtis Eades, 10, son, b. OK; and Etta L. Eades, 7, daughter, b. KS.
I am looking for a grandfather who disappeared from Wayne Co., MO circa 1928, whose name was John Harrison Eads, b. 1889, MO. I wonder if the transcription of the middle initial could be a mistake, being "H" instead of "R"-have not seen the original census myself? Historically my grandfather's surname was spelled "Eades" until after the Civil War. Wondering if I have found him? Does anyone have further information about this family they would be willing to share? I have a couple pictures of my grandfather John Harrison Eads to compare. Thanks!
