I am looking for a connection to Native Indians as well. My gggfather was born William Mckee, but he was raised by his grandparents Jacob & Mary Eads in Claiborne Co, TN. Family stories have always told that we had Cherokee through William. At some point he takes on his grandparents name of Eads and on his death cert, he is an Eads. I have hit a wall as to finding any info on him. Any of these names sound like your Eads? His father we think was also William and his mother is listed as Mary on his death certificate, but I sort of think this was his grandmother Mary that raised him and Amanda according to family stories was his real mother's name. Any help appreciated
