This may not be the same person, but in my Edds/Eads database I have a Granville Edds/Eads, b. 2 Mar 1822, Pulaski County, KY. He may have been married to Rose Ann Shryer in Owen, IN on 25 Dec 1845. His parents were Ishom Edds and Betsy Sowders.

This is unverified information, but might serve as a clue.

I don't have any information on their children, but it's possible your Granvel is a descendant or side shoot from this Granville.
