Classification: Query
Surnames: Eady, Cooper, McDaniel, Jenkins
I am trying to locate Eady's that are still in the Williamsburg SC area. My lineage Elizabeth Eady b. 1868, Elizabeth's Father was names James (Jim) Eady and her mother's name was Satira Eady, she had a brother named Gabriel (Gabe) whom have ancestry in Douglas, Ga. now. Elizabeth married Henry Cooper and migrated to Coffee County (McDonald now known as Douglas, Ga. and Atkinson County, Axson Ga). I have located the Eadys that are still in South Georgia, Douglas Ga and surrounding areas (Homerviille Ga). Most of this lineage are also in Waycross Ga, Hazlehurst Ga, Augusta Ga, Jax, Fl. It appears that the Eady's that stayed back in Kingstree SC in the late 1880's no contact was ever made with the ones whom left. If there are any ancestors in Kingstree that maybe your family talked about the ones who left for South Ga, pls contact me. In 1910 cencus records, there was a McDaniel family, Capers whom was married to a Annie Eady at one time that stayed next door to an Eady relative, Leila Cooper Jenkins and her son Oliver. Pls contact me @ brendaj350@aol.com if you have any connecting info on this lineage. Elizabeth and family are of Black decent. Annie Eady was of White decent. I received an email from one of Annie's relatives in Fl. the other day trying to track down some of Annie's current relatives.
