Hello Eve,
Sorry I have been so long in reply but I don't often check the boards.I had a flurry of ancestry activity after my trip to Ireland
for a McGillicuddy clan gathering but I have been pusuing other aspects of life since.
I also have a copy of the Mcgillycuddy papers which is about 2inches thick I will dig it out for you and see if there is anything in there about your Frances.
However in the Eagar book I found the following.
I Quote.
" The seven daughters of Francis Mcgillycuddy Eagar were;
i Anna Margaret, d unm.
ii Elizabeth Roche, d in infancy.
iii Jane Matilda Grace, who married Alaster Macleod and had issue Frances, Muriel, and a son Alaster all in western canada.
iv Margaretta Alexandra d unm
v Frances Thomasina Rosanna, m Rev George Hanson,D.D., Belfast, and had issue Eleanor, David,and Grace, who married Jack Paterson,R.A., D.S.O.
vi Mary Jane Eusebia b 1868 d September 1886
vii Theodora Clara d. unm."
There is no further information since that entry.
It is however easy to trace the forbears back to Ballymalis Castle, and there are then some female links back to the British royals and of course that tree is then fully researched.
